For CIOs, enterprise cloud computing adoption is a complex initiative. It must address the Political leadership, Organizational, Economic, Technical and Security (POETS) factors. There are numerous potential benefits to cloud computing, and CIOs and their mission partners must determine their specific goals, assess their ability to achieve these goals, then work in a coordinated way to maximize the potential for success and simultaneously manage risks.
CIOs and other agency leaders must work together to strategize for success across large organizations. The Enterprise Cloud Adoption Framework (ECAF) integrates all factors into a one framework to help agencies achieve their cloud goals.
